Maurice Sweeney

Maurice Sweeney

Like the trout that appears for the mayfly, Maurice arrives with his poetry at Festival time. He is a long-term participant having read with the group since 1997. A Shakespearean fan who likes to read, listen to music and do the odd bit of fishing on Lough Riach. His favourite poem is ‘If’ by Joseph Rudyard Kipling. He gives the most original answer for why he became a Baffler as he claims he joined "for no reason"
