Padraig Barrett

Padraig Barrett

Padraig first appeared on the BAFFLE scene in 1992. Both a listener and a writer at events and maybe one of the elite few in the group who have actually read Ulysses! One of his poems appears in the 2000 'BAFFLE in Colour' book.

When not reading Ulysses he is keeping abreast of current affairs, following sport or doing a bit of travelling.

His favourite poet is Patrick Kavanagh but he chooses ‘Dublin’ by Louis Mac Neice as his favourite poem.

I’m sure all his fellow poets will agree with Padraig when he gives his reason for being in BAFFLE “ why not – all the literary giants in Loughrea are”
